Dr. Day received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Certified Family Mediator. Dr. Day is in private practice with Psychological Affiliates, Inc., of Winter Park, Florida. Her practice specialty in forensic psychology includes divorce, social investigations, psychological evaluations, personal injury, collaborative law practice, and child abuse.

Dr. Day is a renowned expert witness. She has provided court testimony on a variety of complex psychological issues. She is nationally recognized as an expert and leader in the field of forensic psychology. She is highly sought after as a consultant for her opinions on psychological issues, for litigation support, and for work product reviews.
Dr. Day has extensive television and news experience. She has provided commentary for Court TV, CNN, and other major network news broadcasts. Dr. Day presents professional workshops and speaks at seminars throughout the country. Dr. Day is the co-editor of the book, Munchausen By Proxy Syndrome: Misunderstood Child Abuse. She authored papers that were included in Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice, including her article, Child Custody Evaluations are Essential. She has contributed to psychological research studies and has taught collegiate and graduate courses as an adjunct professor. Professional groups often request to host Dr. Day as a speaker and educator.
Dr. Day completed a three-year appointment to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Florida Supreme Court and seven-year appointment with the Mediation Ethics Advisory Commission. Dr. Day is active in the Florida Bar's Family Law Section. She has served as their Special Advisor to legislation and to the section chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Dr. Day is the only non-lawyer asked to sit on this committee. Dr. Day is a former President of the Florida Psychological Association (Central Florida Chapter), and she is currently serving as their Ethics Chair. Dr. Day is a founding board member of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Central Florida Collaborative Law Group. She served two terms as a founding board member of the Florida Association of Family and Conciliation Court (FLAFCC). Dr. Day previously served as the Vice-Chair of the Domestic Violence Committee, the Co-chair of the Litigation Support Committee, and the Co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.
In addition to her other professional roles, she served as the psychologist for the Orange County Child Protective Team (CPT) for over 30 years. Dr. Day is a recipient of the Florida Bar Family Law Section’s “Making a Difference” award, recognizing her commitment to volunteerism in her career. She continues to devote her time to training and educating others with the mission to improve the lives of Florida’s children and families.
